Before You Commit to Change

Every meaningful change begins with a decision.

Whether you are buying or selling property, preserving a family legacy, investing in land, developing a project, expanding a business, planning a community, or preparing for the next chapter of life — the decisions you make today can shape opportunities for years, even generations, to come.

Scott Winton offers a perspective few professionals can. His experience as a planner, developer, builder, real estate broker, former mayor, adjunct faculty member, entrepreneur, author, and artist allows him to see opportunities, risks, and connections that others may overlook. Rather than viewing a decision through a single discipline, he integrates real estate, finance, planning, governance, development, and human behavior to help clients make informed, confident decisions.

"Some conversations save far more than money. They save years of frustration, prevent costly mistakes, reveal opportunities that might otherwise be missed, and help create a stronger future."

Before you commit to change, let's have a conversation.

Scott Winton, AICP

Scott Winton has spent more than three decades helping individuals, businesses, developers, investors, property owners, and municipalities make better decisions.

Few professionals have worked from as many perspectives. Scott has served as a planner, developer, builder, broker, elected official, educator, entrepreneur, consultant, author, and artist. Each role contributes to a broader understanding of real estate, finance, governance, leadership, community development, and human behavior.

Whether assisting buyers and sellers, helping families preserve generational property, mentoring entrepreneurs, evaluating investments, advising municipalities, or helping developers bring projects to life, Scott approaches every opportunity through a systems perspective developed from decades of practical experience.

Better decisions come from seeing the entire picture.

Today Scott continues his real estate brokerage practice, advises clients throughout Texas and the Southwest, leads Leap Town Planning Group, and serves as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Real Estate Development program at the University of Texas at El Paso.

What We Believe

Planning is ultimately about people. Every property, neighborhood, downtown, business district, park, school, farm, and public space influences how people live, work, build relationships, and create opportunity.

We believe successful places should provide:

Diverse housing choices
Walkable neighborhoods
Accessible services
Beautiful public spaces
Healthy environments
Strong local businesses
Entrepreneurial opportunity
Transportation choices
Parks and recreation
Environmental stewardship
Collaborative governance
Strong neighborhoods

Great communities do not happen by accident. They are intentionally designed to help people flourish.
